This renovation project preserves the main mass of the building while bringing a modern update through the removal of the existing extension, which is replaced by a newly positioned pergola. The old garage has been replaced with a new, contemporary one, allowing the entire house to adapt to the current needs of a young family.
The house is located in a quiet part of Ostrava, situated on a gently sloping, south-facing plot with access from the north side.
The family house is partially basemented and consists of one above-ground floor and an attic. The renovation does not alter the overall volume of the house, but the window layout and interior arrangement have been redesigned to better meet the family’s lifestyle. New materials have been introduced that blend harmoniously with the surrounding environment, and the design includes a new pergola and garage.
As part of the new concept, a garden pergola and modern garage have been added. The fence was moved closer to the street, creating additional parking space in front of the house.
The facade combines light and textured plaster with natural stone, creating a modern and elegant appearance. The roof has been newly covered with high-quality roofing material, matching the overall concept of the renovation. The newly designed garage features modern doors that complement the house’s facade.
The project incorporates new insulation materials and modern technologies to improve the energy efficiency of the building – not only for more sustainable operation, but also for long-term financial savings.
